今回の特集は、高知市の組子細工職人、土佐組子代表・岩本大輔さん。組子細工とは、薄く均一に切った木片を、釘を使わず幾何学模様に組み上げる日本の伝統的な木工技術で、障子欄間に用いられています。自由な発想で新しい商品を生み出している岩本さんに、伝統技術への思いやこれからの取り組みについてお話していただきました。

　インタビューは、高知市でアジア料理の店「スタンド・チャクラ」を営む中越淳也さん。長く身を置いた中華料理の枠を超えた料理は「小さな幸せいっぱい与えられるご飯」。自然体でいながら、新しい料理に挑戦する中越さんの思いを伺いました。

This feature spotlights Daisuke Iwamoto, representative of Tosa Kumiko and a kumiko craftsman based in Kochi City. Kumiko is a traditional Japanese woodworking technique where thin, uniformly cut wooden pieces are assembled into geometric patterns without nails, often used in shoji transoms. We spoke with Mr. Iwamoto, who freely creates new products, about his feelings toward this traditional craft and his future endeavors.

　The interview features Junya Nakagoshi, who runs the Asian cuisine restaurant "Stand Chakra" in Kochi City. His cuisine, transcending the boundaries of Chinese cooking where he spent many years, is "a meal that gives you lots of little moments of happiness." We heard about Nakagoshi's philosophy of staying true to himself while challenging himself with new dishes.
